Egor Semenov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Kulakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Yakov Umyantsov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Leonid Krugletsov made a huge save. In the 29th match minute, Novocherkassk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yakov Umyantsov to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the game, Vyacheslav Gorskiy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Leonid Krugletsov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anton Schelchkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Egor Semenov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Kulakov in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egor Semenov saved Novocherkassk FC from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Anton Schelchkov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egor Semenov. Novocherkassk FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Schelchkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Zheronkin to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivan Zheronkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Ernest Kulakov took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Egor Semenov to make any attempt to save it. When Novocherkassk FC's Tihon Mazurin in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rybinsk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vyacheslav Gorskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonid Krugletsov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vyacheslav Gorskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Rybinsk's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Zheronkin came free, but Leonid Krugletsov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, Novocherkassk FC's Vyacheslav Gorskiy made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonid Krugletsov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivan Zheronkin struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Leonid Krugletsov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novocherkassk FC. In the 86th match minute, Rybinsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrey Kuharenko to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Ernest Kulakov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Egor Semenov, passed just outside the right post. The Novocherkassk FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rybinsk's performance. The match ended with a win for Rybinsk.
