The supporters of Surgut FC booed when Omsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Beletskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes in the game, Ernest Gromov dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Panfilov during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Surgut FC's Ernest Gromov got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vladimir Afanasenko's late challenge caught a Omsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Afanasenko helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Surgut FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Vladimir Afanasenko hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy in the 48th minute of play forced Surgut FC's goalkeeper Mikhail Krutkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy was the one to do the kick off. Artur Zimin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danila Taschiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Omsk's Albert Panfilov got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Albert Panfilov off the ground. In the 61st match minute, Omsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Panfilov to maneuver through the defense. Danila Bragin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Zimin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Ernest Gromov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Surgut FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Gromov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Zimin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th match minute, Omsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Beletskiy to maneuver through the defense. Artur Zimin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danila Bragin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 72 played minutes Omsk got a freekick which was hit by Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy. After 74 played minutes Surgut FC got a freekick which was hit by Danila Bragin. If Danila Bragin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Surgut FC's Vladimir Afanasenko broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 84th minute Ernest Gromov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Zimin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Surgut FC's Ernest Gromov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Zimin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ernest Gromov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
