After 3 played minutes Novoshakhtinsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Karaulov. Boris Belyavskiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efim Menshikov in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Zimin saved Omsk from getting behind. Artur Zimin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efim Menshikov in the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yaroslav Panfilov during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Novoshakhtinsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Yaroslav Panfilov. A collision led to Omsk getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Albert Panfilov hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Novoshakhtinsk FC's Marat Koshelev broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 24 minutes, Denis Valentinov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novoshakhtinsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Valentinov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Efim Menshikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Novoshakhtinsk FC's Valeriy Bratchuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Felix Beletskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Omsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Beletskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valeriy Bratchuk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valeriy Bratchuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boris Belyavskiy in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Denis Valentinov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novoshakhtinsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Valentinov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Zimin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Boris Belyavskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vsevolod Krzhizhanovskiy to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Omsk got a corner. Novoshakhtinsk FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marat Popovskiy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Boris Belyavskiy struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Valeriy Bratchuk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Omsk. Denis Valentinov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Novoshakhtinsk FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Boris Belyavskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Belyavskiy in the 77th minute of play forced Novoshakhtinsk FC's goalkeeper Valeriy Bratchuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Andrey Replyanskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Denis Valentinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Omsk's goalkeeper Artur Zimin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Valentinov. After having played for 96 minutes, Efim Menshikov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novoshakhtinsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efim Menshikov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
