Aleksey Kulaevskiy scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dmitriy Parensov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Filimon Kostyanyh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vyacheslav Savostyanov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Novosibirsk FC booed when Krasnodar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efim Aldonin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aleksey Kulaevskiy came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Novosibirsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksey Kulaevskiy couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filimon Kostyanyh to make the kick off. Innokentiy Faleichik hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Novosibirsk FC's zone, Ippolit Listovskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vyacheslav Savostyanov came out of the goal and Ippolit Listovskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 played minutes Novosibirsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Prokl Leonov. After 71 played minutes Krasnodar got a freekick which was hit by Efim Belan. In the 72nd minute Aleksey Kulaevskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmitriy Parensov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Novosibirsk FC booed when Krasnodar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirill Pyatkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filimon Kostyanyh charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filimon Kostyanyh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dmitriy Parensov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksey Kulaevskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Krasnodar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dmitriy Parensov should have stopped the shot. Ernest Kunaev was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Krasnodar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zinoviy Konisskiy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Zinoviy Konisskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Prokl Leonov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Prokl Leonov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dmitriy Parensov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Novosibirsk FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
