Viktor Bystrov charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viktor Bystrov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Odintsovo FC's Viktor Bystrov got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Aleksey Kulaevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksey Kulaevskiy in the 25th minute of play forced Odintsovo FC's goalkeeper Anatoliy Blinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Bystrov got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Pavel Lapin's late challenge caught a Novosibirsk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anatoliy Blinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zinoviy Konisskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aleksey Kulaevskiy was the one to do the kick off. Vitaliy Vakturskiy hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Zinoviy Konisskiy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anatoliy Blinov, 0-4. When Aleksey Kulaevskiy came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Novosibirsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksey Kulaevskiy couldn't finish the play. Novosibirsk FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
