Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergey Kalashnikov started the match with the kick off. Valentin Epishkin struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Dmitriy Demyanskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheboksary. 12 minutes into the match, Sergey Kalashnikov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timur Novomlintsev. Cheboksary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergey Kalashnikov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Valentin Epishkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmitriy Demyanskiy having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Valentin Epishkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheboksary's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Epishkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dmitriy Demyanskiy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Vadim Gorbachev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmitriy Demyanskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Panfilov kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dmitriy Demyanskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vadim Gorbachev in the 26th minute of play. Berezniki's Dmitriy Demyanskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vadim Gorbachev in the 28th minute of play. Timur Novomlintsev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergey Kalashnikov in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Vladimir Panfilov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheboksary and the Berezniki players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Cheboksary got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Panfilov. Dmitriy Demyanskiy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vadim Gorbachev, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Berezniki's Emmanuil Arshinnikov got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Paramon Belchenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vadim Gorbachev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergey Kalashnikov in the 51st minute of play forced Cheboksary's goalkeeper Timur Novomlintsev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Vadim Gorbachev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aleksandr Vernik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timur Novomlintsev having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Aleksandr Vernik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berezniki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksandr Vernik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Cheboksary got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Panfilov. Sergey Kalashnikov charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sergey Kalashnikov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Berezniki's Sergey Kalashnikov got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Cheboksary's Timur Novomlintsev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Cheboksary from getting a goal against them. If Vadim Gorbachev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Berezniki's goal looked a bit too open when Vadim Gorbachev came free, but Dmitriy Demyanskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aleksandr Vernik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Timur Novomlintsev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Berezniki players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cheboksary.
