Arseniy Neshpanov started the match with the kick off. Stanislav Uborevich came out of the goal and Ippolit Lyamzin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pyatigorsk FC booed when Lubertsy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniil Larikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Arseniy Neshpanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrey Prusakov kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Arseniy Neshpanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sergey Zhuravskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ippolit Lyamzin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Pyatigorsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arseniy Neshpanov came free, but Sergey Zhuravskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Daniil Babanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pyatigorsk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lubertsy the free kick. Stanislav Uborevich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ippolit Lyamzin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanislav Uborevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ippolit Lyamzin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Ippolit Lyamzin came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Pyatigorsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ippolit Lyamzin couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Pyatigorsk FC booed when Lubertsy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Anisimov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes in the game, Pavel Grigoriev fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Stanislav Uborevich having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Ippolit Lyamzin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanislav Uborevich. Lubertsy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ippolit Lyamzin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ippolit Lyamzin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Pavel Grigoriev came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Pyatigorsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Grigoriev couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valeriy Gunin got free with Sergey Zhuravskiy in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valeriy Gunin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sergey Zhuravskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pavel Grigoriev in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislav Uborevich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Pavel Grigoriev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanislav Uborevich was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arseniy Neshpanov in the 88th minute of play forced Pyatigorsk FC's goalkeeper Sergey Zhuravskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Ippolit Lyamzin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pyatigorsk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ippolit Lyamzin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valeriy Gunin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sergey Zhuravskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
