Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniil Bodryashkin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 2 played minutes Cherkessk got a freekick which was hit by Vsevolod Minkov. Ulyanovsk's Aleksey Kivokurtsev got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 6 minutes, Daniil Efimov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ulyanovsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniil Efimov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cherkessk getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sergey Markov hit a great ball. Sergey Markov kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Mark Metlitskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniil Efimov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksey Kivokurtsev in the 34th minute of play forced Cherkessk's goalkeeper Mark Metlitskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniil Efimov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 49th minute Daniil Efimov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Metlitskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniil Efimov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Afanasiy Areschenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuriy Saveliev's late challenge caught a Cherkessk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yuriy Saveliev helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ulyanovsk's Yuriy Saveliev got a free kick in the 61st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cherkessk's Boris Taratorkin tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ulyanovsk's zone, Afanasiy Areschenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipp Moskovtsev came out of the goal and Afanasiy Areschenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cherkessk's Mark Metlitskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gennadiy Berezovskiy in the 71st minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Ulyanovsk's goal looked a bit too open when Afanasiy Areschenko came free, but Filipp Moskovtsev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Gennadiy Berezovskiy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ulyanovsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cherkessk the free kick. Ulyanovsk's Filipp Moskovtsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afanasiy Areschenko in the 91st minute of play. Aleksey Kivokurtsev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mark Metlitskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ulyanovsk eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
