German Khokhlov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Bliznyuk having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match Rudolf Nekrasov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Bliznyuk skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Korolev FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Melnikov came free, but Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiy Sulyagin lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Roman Baburin placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Melnikov's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Valentin Melnikov had several of the Korolev FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Melnikov in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy saved Korolev FC from getting behind. Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Rasul Strazhnikov sent off a good shot on target. Rasul Strazhnikov scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rasul Strazhnikov in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when German Khokhlov made the kick off in the second half. Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasul Strazhnikov in the 54th minute of play. Rasul Strazhnikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Rasul Strazhnikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Korolev FC got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Gusev. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lev Eremin during the 63rd minute. German Khokhlov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentin Melnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lev Lobanov during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, one of Korolev FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Korolev FC. Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Melnikov in the 84th minute of the match. German Khokhlov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Bliznyuk having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Korolev FC's zone, Rasul Strazhnikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dmitriy Dmitrevskiy came out of the goal and Rasul Strazhnikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, German Khokhlov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Korolev FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
