Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albert Domanskiy kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes Noyabrsk HC got a freekick which was hit by Rostislav Shergin. In the 4th minute, Albert Domanskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lev Getsko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Kosatyh having to interfere. If Boris Samolyanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Samolyanov in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Kosatyh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Petrozavodsk's Albert Domanskiy in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Noyabrsk HC's goalie prevented a goal. 18 minutes into the game, one of Noyabrsk HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lev Getsko struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Roman Kosatyh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Noyabrsk HC. When Yaroslav Vinogradov fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Noyabrsk HC's protests and gave Yaroslav Vinogradov a yellow card for diving instead. Yuriy Zhiganov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Domanskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Petrozavodsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boris Samolyanov was the one to do the kick off. Petrozavodsk's Vladimir Vorontsov suffered a sore thigh after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Yaroslav Vinogradov was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. The supporters of Petrozavodsk booed when Noyabrsk HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaroslav Vinogradov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Noyabrsk HC's goalkeeper Yuriy Zhiganov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov. The supporters of Noyabrsk HC booed when Petrozavodsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuriy Minkovskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Kosatyh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lev Getsko in the 67th minute of play. Lev Getsko struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. When Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Petrozavodsk fans jumped to their feet. Lev Getsko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Roman Kosatyh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Albert Domanskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Noyabrsk HC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Osip Meleh hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petrozavodsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksandr Kuvshinnikov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Boris Samolyanov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Noyabrsk HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Petrozavodsk the free kick. A collision led to Noyabrsk HC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Boris Samolyanov hit a great ball.
