An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Pașcanu in the 6th minute of play forced FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's goalkeeper Petre Timaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petre Timaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Păunescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Ionuț Buzescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Chihaia. Plaic AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ionuț Buzescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Plaic AFC booed when FC RAPID TARGOVISTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Decuseară didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petre Timaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Huștea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th match minute, FC RAPID TARGOVISTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Mascovescu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Plaic AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Adam Magheru hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Pașcanu in the 21st minute of play forced FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's goalkeeper Petre Timaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Buzescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Emanuel Chihaia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 29 minutes into the game, Plaic AFC's Nechifor Nițoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petre Timaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Emanuel Chihaia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionuț Buzescu in the 37th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Liviu Pașcanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Liviu Pașcanus short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Petre Timaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Petre Timaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Tuleiu in the 56th minute of the match. FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's Ionuț Buzescu got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liviu Pașcanu got free with Petre Timaru in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petre Timaru made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Liviu Pașcanu sent off a good shot on target. After 63 minutes, Șerban Mascovescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC RAPID TARGOVISTE and the Plaic AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Șerban Mascovescu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Ivan Tuleiu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's Petre Timaru. Petre Timaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nechifor Nițoi during the 70th minute. With a little luck, FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's Petre Timaru got control of the ball when Nechifor Nițoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Plaic AFC's Sergiu Arghiroiu suffered a concussion in the 82nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Gavril Carp fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's protests and gave Gavril Carp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, FC RAPID TARGOVISTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Carp to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, FC RAPID TARGOVISTE's Ionuț Buzescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Chihaia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Tuleiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Plaic AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
