Laurențiu Crișan started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Flavius Buzoianu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezar Foltea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calan CS's Emilian Jugănaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Burtescu in the 6th minute of play. Emilian Jugănaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Crișan, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Ioan Postelnicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Jugănaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cezar Foltea made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Coşkun Cevar sent off a good shot on target. Flavius Buzoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezar Foltea having to interfere. In the 13th minute Coşkun Cevar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezar Foltea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilian Jugănaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurențiu Crișan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Calan CS booed when Negoiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Stănciulaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ion Ivăncioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cezar Foltea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Negoiu's goal looked a bit too open when Flavius Buzoianu came free, but Cezar Foltea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezar Foltea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calan CS. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavius Buzoianu in the 48th minute of play forced Negoiu's goalkeeper Cezar Foltea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Coşkun Cevar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calan CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Coşkun Cevar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezar Foltea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codrin Băncilă kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Calan CS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ismael Ignazio hit a great ball. Matei Burtescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Emilian Jugănaru made a huge save. Calan CS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Negoiu for a fine match.
