Panait Nistor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Daniel Covaci came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Cuhea AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Covaci couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragoş Gheție in the 12th minute of play forced Ortelec's goalkeeper Ştefan Răica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dragoş Gheție's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ştefan Răica was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Dragoş Gheție recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ortelec's zone, Daniel Covaci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ştefan Răica came out of the goal and Daniel Covaci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Dragoş Gheție who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ortelec's Ştefan Răica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Leon Zaworski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ortelec's Ştefan Răica. Ştefan Răica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Covaci succeeded in the game's 37th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Panait Nistor took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Milan Weber. Milan Weber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragoş Gheție to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Ortelec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Zglimbea to maneuver through the defense. Milan Weber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Bucataru in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Leon Zaworski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Covaci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ştefan Răica tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ştefan Răica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dragoş Gheție in the 96th minute. Cuhea AC played a much better game than Ortelec and deserved their victory. The Ortelec players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
