Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pavel Zâncă made the kick off and thus started the match. Dorel Calboreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Chichisa AS's Pavel Zâncă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cengiz Kont. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Mugur Trifănucă put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Paul Onofrei. 13 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA BAIA MARE's goalkeeper Cengiz Kont had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Brad. Cengiz Kont made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gigel Brad sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of FC STEAUA BAIA MARE booed when Chichisa AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Zâncă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul Onofrei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mugur Trifănucă went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Chichisa AS's Paul Onofrei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Trifănucă in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Mugur Trifănucă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chichisa AS's Paul Onofrei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The FC STEAUA BAIA MARE fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when FC STEAUA BAIA MARE's Mugur Trifănucă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, FC STEAUA BAIA MARE's Cengiz Kont got control of the ball when Gigel Brad tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Mugur Trifănucă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC STEAUA BAIA MARE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mugur Trifănucă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 played minutes Chichisa AS got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Brad. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mugur Trifănucă in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Onofrei prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The audience was convinced that Mugur Trifănucă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Onofrei was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Paul Onofrei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Trifănucă in the 55th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Chichisa AS's Gigel Brad made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cengiz Kont was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rareș Ignătoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Onofrei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Emilian Albeanu notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Chichisa AS's Paul Onofrei. Paul Onofrei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mugur Trifănucă had several of the Chichisa AS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-9 score and a disappointed Paul Onofrei as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, Chichisa AS's Paul Onofrei got control of the ball when Mugur Trifănucă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tudor Gurzău recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Onofrei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugur Trifănucă in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute FC STEAUA BAIA MARE were awarded a corner. Gigi Hapaina went to the cornerflag to take it. FC STEAUA BAIA MARE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
