With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petre Mazăre in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Onofrei saved Chichisa AS from getting behind. Sandu Bădoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Onofrei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Ilie Hurmuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Brad in the 32nd minute of the match. Pavel Zâncă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ilie Hurmuz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigel Brad in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Hurmuz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gică Drăgănoiu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Onofrei. Chichisa AS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vintilă Buhăescu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute of the match Ştefan Carp sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ilie Hurmuz skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Petre Mazăre made the kick off in the second half. When Ionică Murgu fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aronesti CSM's protests and gave Ionică Murgu a yellow card for diving instead. Chichisa AS's attack was well implemented in the 55th minute, but when Pavel Zâncă was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After a defensive mix-up in Chichisa AS's zone, Aurel Angheluță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When Ernest Gârneață fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chichisa AS's protests and gave Ernest Gârneață a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Chichisa AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Gârneață to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Chichisa AS getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dorel Calboreanu hit a great ball. When Petre Mazăre came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Aronesti CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Mazăre couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Chichisa AS defense, Sandu Bădoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Onofrei. The Chichisa AS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Onofrei should have stopped the shot. Pavel Zâncă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 minutes, Augustin Albu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chichisa AS and the Aronesti CSM players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Chichisa AS got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Albu. Vintilă Buhăescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Onofrei. Chichisa AS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Corneliu Simion kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Dorel Calboreanu could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Ilie Hurmuz however easily saved by the left post. Petre Mazăre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aronesti CSM fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chichisa AS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
