Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dan Cârnu started the match with the kick off. Ilie Panaiteanu came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Chiriteasca CS's Liviu Hidișan. But to his dismay, Liviu Hidișan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. FC Prahova's Valeriu Ardelean quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Remus Harbuz, made in the 7th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, FC Prahova's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Ştercă came free, but Ilie Panaiteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Gâgea in the 14th minute of play forced Chiriteasca CS's goalkeeper Dan Ionete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dan Cârnu in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Ionete saved Chiriteasca CS from getting behind. After some careless play in the Chiriteasca CS defense, Dan Cârnu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Ionete. The Chiriteasca CS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Ionete should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Prahova's Dan Cârnu got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute Iustin Ştercă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Panaiteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, FC Prahova's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Ştercă came free, but Ilie Panaiteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dan Cârnu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Ionete was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Dan Ionete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Cârnu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Chiriteasca CS's Ilie Panaiteanu threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iustin Ştercă, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 38 played minutes FC Prahova got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Aurelianu. When FC Prahova's Dan Cârnu in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chiriteasca CS's goalie prevented a goal. Ilie Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Ştercă, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iustin Ştercă was the one to do the kick off. Marcel Grecu struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Dan Ionete didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Prahova. If Iustin Ştercă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilie Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liviu Hidișan, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Manuel Gâgea managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Prahova's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Gâgea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Ionete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Cârnu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dan Ionete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Prahova's Alex Botgros got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Bulencea in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Prahova's goalkeeper Ilie Panaiteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Chiriteasca CS's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Cârnu came free, but Dan Ionete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiriteasca CS's Dan Ionete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Grecu in the 82nd minute of play. With splendid footwork Dan Cârnu arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-2 by the left pole in the game's 84th minute. A collision led to Chiriteasca CS getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Silviu Orescu hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Ionuț Bulencea in the 93rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
