Gurgueti's Marian Ţintea got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Corus CSS got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Dragnea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Lucan in the 24th minute of play forced Gurgueti's goalkeeper Adam Elenescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Corus CSS's Manuel Lucan got a free kick in the 28th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Gurgueti's Corneliu Piţurcă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cosmin Bălace narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gurgueti's Corneliu Piţurcă in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When David Urduban fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gurgueti's protests and gave David Urduban a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gurgueti getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. David Urduban hit a great ball. Corneliu Piţurcă took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cosmin Bălace. Cosmin Bălace dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Cosmin Bălace made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Piţurcă in the 68th minute of play. Marian Ţintea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Corus CSS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Marian Ţintea 76 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Corneliu Piţurcăs short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Cosmin Bălace to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marian Ţintea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gurgueti played a much better game than Corus CSS and deserved their victory. The Corus CSS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
