Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Valeriu Enceanu made the kick off and thus started the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Enătescu during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marius Enătescu kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Catalusa defense, Manole Gherguț kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horia Măcrinici. The Catalusa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horia Măcrinici should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute of the match Leonard Pânzaru sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horia Măcrinici skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Catalusa's zone, Leonard Pânzaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Măcrinici came out of the goal and Leonard Pânzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of PETROLUL PLOIESTI booed when Catalusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigi Bârsescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manole Gherguț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Pânzaru in the 26th minute of play forced Catalusa's goalkeeper Horia Măcrinici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Manole Gherguț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horia Măcrinici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes of play Catalusa's Marius Enătescu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 29th match minute, Catalusa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Enătescu to maneuver through the defense. Horia Măcrinici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Gherguț in the 32nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Catalusa's Gigi Bârsescu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 37thth minute of the game Manole Gherguț who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catalusa's Horia Măcrinici was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dacian Coidum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Măcrinici having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manole Gherguț in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horia Măcrinici saved Catalusa from getting behind. Leonard Pânzaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Horia Măcrinici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Feroiu made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Isac Bîlbă sent off a good shot on target. Gigi Bârsescu in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Andrei Feroiu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Catalusa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PETROLUL PLOIESTI were winning 0-1.
The wind increased when Manole Gherguț made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, PETROLUL PLOIESTI's Aron Creteanu got a free kick in the 64th minute. Horia Măcrinici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Pânzaru in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Catalusa's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Gherguț came free, but Horia Măcrinici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leonard Pânzaru came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the PETROLUL PLOIESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Pânzaru couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manole Gherguț in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horia Măcrinici saved Catalusa from getting behind. 77 minutes into the game, Paul Hogaș threw the ball into play from the sideline. PETROLUL PLOIESTI's Filip Coporan quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Horia Măcrinici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iustinian Buceceanu in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Dacian Coidum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Catalusa's zone, Leonard Pânzaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Măcrinici came out of the goal and Leonard Pânzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iustinian Buceceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Măcrinici having to interfere. Horia Măcrinici was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manole Gherguț showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 91 minute of play. PETROLUL PLOIESTI's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
