Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ionuț Băncilă kicked off to start the match. Marius Marinescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucian Cotuțiu in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Ionuț Băncilă came free, but Marius Marinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Mircea Cociubei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tonoiu's Petru Sântimbrean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonard Burca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tonoiu's Petru Sântimbrean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Cociubei in the 12th minute of play. Marius Marinescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugur Frumușanu in the 17th minute. Marius Marinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionuț Băncilă in the 19th minute of the match. Marius Marinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Băncilă in the 20th minute of play. Leonard Burca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Mugur Frumușanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marius Marinescu. Steaua Bucuresti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mugur Frumușanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Mugur Frumușanu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Mircea Cociubei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petru Sântimbrean was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mircea Cociubei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petru Sântimbrean having to interfere. Marius Marinescu was a little too slow when Ionuț Băncilă got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-1. Marius Marinescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurelian Pânzariu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 40 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mircea Cociubei was the one to do the kick off. Lucian Cotuțiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Aurelian Pânzariu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Marinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Steaua Bucuresti's Mircea Cociubei in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tonoiu's goalie prevented a goal. 59 minutes into the game, Lucian Cotuțiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Marius Marinescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ionuț Băncilă scored 6-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marius Marinescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Mugur Frumușanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tonoiu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steaua Bucuresti the free kick. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when Tonoiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Frumușanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mircea Cociubei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Pânzariu in the 79th minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Marius Marinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 8-1 when Ionuț Băncilă sped through Steaua Bucuresti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marius Marinescu. In the 85thth minute of the game Mircea Cociubei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tonoiu's Petru Sântimbrean was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Lucian Cotuțiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marius Marinescu. Steaua Bucuresti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucian Cotuțiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-1. If Ionuț Băncilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marius Marinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Cotuțiu in the 97th minute of the match. Tonoiu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
