Gelu Găină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Tatomir in the 5th minute of play. Ovidiu Cojan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Filip Harhoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucian Ghelmegean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filip Harhoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alin Biriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alin Biriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucian Ghelmegean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Creteanu during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Merei SC's Gelu Găină proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Merei SC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Berheci AFC's Pavel Chirnoagă got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Biriș in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filip Harhoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute Alin Biriș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Harhoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Berheci AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Ţintea to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihnea Tatomir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Panait Traianescu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Berheci AFC's Marius Cudalb sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gelu Găină narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alin Biriș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucian Ghelmegean got free with Filip Harhoiu in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merei SC's goalkeeper Gelu Găină, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Alin Biriș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihnea Tatomir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Berheci AFC's Filip Harhoiu got control of the ball when Lucian Ghelmegean tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 74th play minutes Alin Biriș shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Filip Harhoiu and just under the crossbar into goal. Alin Biriș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Filip Harhoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berheci AFC's Filip Harhoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Biriș in the 84th minute of play. Lucian Ghelmegean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berheci AFC's Filip Harhoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Berheci AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Berheci AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alin Biriș fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pavel Chirnoagă kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute Merei SC were awarded a corner. Traian Brădean went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Traian Brădean almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Berheci AFC's Filip Harhoiu did a great save.
