Aron Racoviță charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aron Racoviță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aron Racoviță kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 6thth minute of the game Bogdan Petru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Martinul's Manole Otețea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bogdan Petru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Otețea having to interfere. Manole Otețea didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 10th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Iurie Danciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute Ionel Boieru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Chitimia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Strimbeni getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alexandru Hristea hit a great ball. Vintilă Chitimia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Boieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Ionel Boieru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vintilă Chitimia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Laurențiu Gagiu sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Manole Otețea threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Laurențiu Gagiu this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Petru in the 44th minute of play forced Martinul's goalkeeper Manole Otețea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bogdan Petru to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Iurie Danciu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nae Durbac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Otețea having to interfere. Manole Otețea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Petru, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Nae Durbac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes Strimbeni got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Hristea. In the 76th minute of the match Maxim Alb shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vintilă Chitimia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Strimbeni's Vlad Câmpeanu got a free kick in the 78th minute. Nae Durbac struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Manole Otețea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strimbeni. When Bogdan Petru came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Strimbeni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Petru couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Iurie Danciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vintilă Chitimia was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 97th minute, Bogdan Petru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Strimbeni had won after a very even match.
