The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Lucrețiu Zmărăndache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC G.C.I. BM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Budanesti the free kick. After 4 played minutes FC G.C.I. BM got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Zmărăndache. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Şneapotă in the 5th minute of play forced FC G.C.I. BM's goalkeeper Vintilă Turdeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ioan Vlăsiu got free with Vintilă Turdeanu in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 7 minutes, Eusebiu Isăceanu made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC G.C.I. BM's Vintilă Turdeanu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vintilă Turdeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Şneapotă in the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Wincent Kosiorek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC G.C.I. BM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincent Kosiorek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC G.C.I. BM's Rareș Abraham quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aron Lazăr, made in the 14th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Ivan Curuțiu in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC G.C.I. BM's Rareș Abraham. The audience was convinced that Wincent Kosiorek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Giurăscu was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The FC G.C.I. BM fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when FC G.C.I. BM's Wincent Kosiorek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Vintilă Turdeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Vlăsiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Wincent Kosiorek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iurie Giurăscu. Budanesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wincent Kosiorek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Denis Liviu took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iurie Giurăscu. Iurie Giurăscu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Iurie Giurăscu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Liviu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After 38 played minutes Budanesti got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Curuțiu. Markus Frank hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Wincent Kosiorek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Giurăscu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC G.C.I. BM getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lucrețiu Zmărăndache hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, Budanesti's Aurelian Cernescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vintilă Turdeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Budanesti reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Isăceanu was the one to do the kick off. Ioan Vlăsiu took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vintilă Turdeanu. Vintilă Turdeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After 54 played minutes Budanesti got a freekick which was hit by Aron Lazăr. Budanesti's Iurie Giurăscu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincent Kosiorek in the 57th minute of play. Wincent Kosiorek succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 58th playminute. Vintilă Turdeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebiu Isăceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vintilă Turdeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Cernescu in the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, FC G.C.I. BM's goal looked a bit too open when Ioan Vlăsiu came free, but Vintilă Turdeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BM players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Budanesti from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
