Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nistor Niculescu got the match started through his kick off. Teodor Nisipeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costin Argăseală having to make a save. Narcis Vărzaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Costin Argăseală showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Vărzaru in the 7th minute of the match. Avram Aluchei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Gabriel Tudor made a huge save. The supporters of FCU Stiinta Craiova booed when Carcaliu UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodor Nisipeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nistor Niculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Tudor having to interfere. If Ionică Anghel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Carcaliu UFC got a freekick which was hit by Ilie Bolcaș. FCU Stiinta Craiova's Edgar Agud couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carcaliu UFC. Costin Argăseală showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Vărzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Răzvan Ciolpan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Argăseală having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Carcaliu UFC's Cazimir Crețulescu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Gabriel Tudor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Avram Aluchei went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute, Carcaliu UFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nistor Niculescu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narcis Vărzaru was the one to do the kick off. Cristinel Lucescu's late challenge caught a Carcaliu UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristinel Lucescu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FCU Stiinta Craiova getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cristinel Lucescu hit a great ball. Carcaliu UFC's Gabriel Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Aluchei in the 57th minute of play. Avram Aluchei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gabriel Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Carcaliu UFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Teodor Nisipeanu hit a great ball. Gabriel Tudor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nistor Niculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When FCU Stiinta Craiova's Avram Aluchei in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carcaliu UFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 75 minutes of play, FCU Stiinta Craiova's Avram Aluchei made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Tudor was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avram Aluchei in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Tudor saved Carcaliu UFC from getting behind. In the 85thth minute of the game Avram Aluchei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carcaliu UFC's Gabriel Tudor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nistor Niculescu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Gabriel Tudor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCU Stiinta Craiova. When Ilie Bolcaș fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carcaliu UFC's protests and gave Ilie Bolcaș a yellow card for diving instead. Ilie Bolcaș kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 98th minute of the match Edgar Agud shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Tudor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FCU Stiinta Craiova's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
