The supporters of FC AnaPetre booed when Korond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Guguianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ionel Durbacă, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Dugulescu during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iordache Popescu had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Cristinel Chelaru's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Dacian Opaina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC AnaPetre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Opaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Emanuel Hațegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horea Vergulescu. Korond's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Hațegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, FC AnaPetre's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Enoiu came free, but Iordache Popescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Korond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Volosin to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Dacian Opaina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC AnaPetre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dacian Opaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th match minute, FC AnaPetre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Hațegan to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Traian Ailincai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horea Vergulescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Hațegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Hațegan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horea Vergulescu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th minute Nicu Enoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iordache Popescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Hațegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Horea Vergulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicu Enoiu was the one to do the kick off. Traian Ailincai struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Iordache Popescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korond. A collision led to FC AnaPetre getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Florin Culiță hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, FC AnaPetre's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Ailincai came free, but Iordache Popescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Enoiu in the 56th minute of play forced FC AnaPetre's goalkeeper Iordache Popescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Hațegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Hațegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Korond's Horea Vergulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Korond from getting a goal against them. Dacian Opaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Vergulescu having to interfere. Horea Vergulescu went to the wrong direction when Ionel Durbacă was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Ioan Albulescu's late challenge caught a FC AnaPetre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Korond's zone, Dacian Opaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horea Vergulescu came out of the goal and Dacian Opaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emanuel Hațegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes, FC AnaPetre's Marin Dugulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horea Vergulescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC AnaPetre reached it. When Iacob Mărăcuță fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC AnaPetre's protests and gave Iacob Mărăcuță a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes FC AnaPetre got a freekick which was hit by Iacob Mărăcuță. When the match was over FC AnaPetre could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Korond throughout the match.
