Ferdinand Costandache didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soimul Zaharesti. Nicodim Merișor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Costandache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Iulian Slicaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugen Trifan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Costandache having to interfere. Ferdinand Costandache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Trifan in the 34th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Soimul Zaharesti's Nicodim Merișor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The supporters of Tantarea booed when Soimul Zaharesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Roşca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 50 minutes Soimul Zaharesti's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dan Măcrineanu who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugen Trifan to make the kick off. Eugen Trifan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Costandache having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Trifan in the 66th minute of play forced Tantarea's goalkeeper Ferdinand Costandache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Nicodim Merișor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferdinand Costandache was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 73 minutes into the match, Tantarea's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Merișor came free, but Ferdinand Costandache reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Tantarea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Turlea to maneuver through the defense. Tantarea's Ferdinand Costandache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Trifan in the 74th minute of play. Romeo Pavelescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Toader Pociu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Pavelescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tantarea getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Romeo Pavelescu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Merișor in the 93rd minute of play forced Tantarea's goalkeeper Ferdinand Costandache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
