Cosmesti AS's Gavril Macavei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Udurbac in the 11th minute of play. Gigi Cozac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Lăcătuș in the 17th minute. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gigi Lăcătuș sped through Balaciu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gigi Cozac. After recieving a nice pass, Balaciu's Iosif Iovan tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute Mircea Barbonța shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Macavei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Cosmesti AS's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Udurbac came free, but Gavril Macavei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Mihnea Gherguț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigi Cozac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Bugariu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidiu Rebengiuc received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gigi Cozac came out and tried to block the shot, but Ovidiu Rebengiuc slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. Cosmesti AS's Gavril Macavei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Udurbac in the 37th minute of play. Mihnea Gherguț kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmesti AS's zone, Bogdan Udurbac stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavril Macavei came out of the goal and Bogdan Udurbac tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gigi Lăcătuș to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigi Lăcătuș in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigi Cozac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Gavril Macavei managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Balaciu's Bogdan Udurbac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bogdan Udurbac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gavril Macavei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gigi Lăcătuș came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cosmesti AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Lăcătuș couldn't finish the play. Gigi Lăcătuș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Constantin Axinte in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Cozac saved Balaciu from getting behind. Gigi Cozac stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Constantin Axinte's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Cosmesti AS's Gigi Lăcătuș sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gigi Cozac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mircea Barbonța kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gavril Macavei. That made the score 2-1 in the 82 minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Bogdan Udurbac had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavril Macavei. Cosmesti AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Udurbac was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Leonard Șeimeanu's late challenge caught a Cosmesti AS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonard Șeimeanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Leonard Șeimeanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Mircea Barbonța dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gavril Macavei, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Balaciu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
