The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucrețiu Encuțu came out of the goal and Victor Boieraș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Merisoru SC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Secas CSS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Șerban Petre took the corner. After 19 played minutes Merisoru SC got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Burileanu. Mihai Alexandroae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Oproiu in the 22nd minute of the match. If Francisc Oproiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisc Oproiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Alexandroae having to interfere. The supporters of Merisoru SC booed when Secas CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Mihăilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucrețiu Encuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Giurchescu in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Merisoru SC got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Malcoci. The wind increased when Francisc Oproiu made the kick off in the second half. A hard shot by Ilie Moromete from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Lucrețiu Encuțu's attention. After 58 minutes, Victor Boieraș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Secas CSS and the Merisoru SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Secas CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Boieraș to maneuver through the defense. Mihai Alexandroae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Merisoru SC's Lucrețiu Encuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Hârțan in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Francisc Oproiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Secas CSS's Mihai Alexandroae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Merisoru SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
