Dan Banciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tudor Mihoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iurie Bitanu charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iurie Bitanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Iurie Bitanu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The Mercurea fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Mercurea's Iacob Mugur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dagata CSS's Emanuel Zbârnea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Drogoreanu in the 23rd minute of play. Dan Banciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Dagata CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Drogoreanu came free, but Emanuel Zbârnea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavril Mihaiu kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Dagata CSS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Emanuel Zbârnea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Drogoreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Toader Gruescu struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Emanuel Zbârnea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercurea. The supporters of Dagata CSS booed when Mercurea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Rucăreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Iurie Bitanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Zbârnea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
