Matei Bungeanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Moise Gherasescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 14 in the game by Matei Bungeanu from a close distance when the talented Moise Gherasescu managed to make a qualified save. Tarcuta CSS's players were relieved. Dorel Bocșan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 17th minute, Sandu Cozorici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rareș Pantiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, FC Heleșteu's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Mavrodin came free, but Daniel Todoran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iustinian Luțu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Matei Bungeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Heleșteu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Bungeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabin Gaiță took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moise Gherasescu. Tarcuta CSS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute, Nicu Stancu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Heleșteu's Mihăiţă Vasiloiu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moise Gherasescu. That made the score 1-0 after 47 minutes of play.

Moise Gherasescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Balaban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorel Bocșan during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dorel Bocșan kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Matei Bungeanu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the FC Heleșteu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matei Bungeanu couldn't finish the play. If Iustin Lalescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rareș Pantiș's late challenge caught a FC Heleșteu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rareș Pantiș helped the player get up and apologised. Rareș Pantiș hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Matei Bungeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Todoran acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iustinian Luțu. If Iustin Lalescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Heleșteu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
