Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Costel Ciorănescu started the match with the kick off. FC Heleșteu's Daniel Todoran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Ciorănescu in the 4th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornel Leluțiu in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Todoran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute of the match Ionel Popoacă shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iustinian Urdăreanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the game, FC Heleșteu's Matei Bungeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iustinian Urdăreanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Mihăiţă Vasiloiu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iustinian Urdăreanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Mihăiţă Vasiloiu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. FC Heleșteu's Matei Bungeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Riciu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Heleșteu the free kick. In the 39th match minute, Riciu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Blajovici to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Heleșteu booed when Riciu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Leluțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costel Ciorănescu struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Daniel Todoran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riciu.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matei Bungeanu to make the kick off. If Mihăiţă Vasiloiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matei Bungeanu struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Iustinian Urdăreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Heleșteu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Gabrea during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matei Bungeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustinian Urdăreanu having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Gigel Vulcănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matei Bungeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Măguran hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Costel Ciorănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riciu's supporters rose to their feet, but Costel Ciorănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Todoran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornel Leluțiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Todoran having to interfere. Filip Mihuț charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Mihuț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, Riciu's Daniel Todoran threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Costel Ciorănescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Heleșteu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
