Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristian Carabulea kicked off to start the match. Costel Bejgăneanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bousori booed when FC Rapid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Cumpanașu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Carabulea might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Ignătoiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Carabulea ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 12 minutes, Cristian Carabulea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bousori's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Carabulea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristian Carabulea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ionică Puric received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Valentin Ignătoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costel Bejgăneanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Ignătoiu came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Bousori's Cristian Carabulea. But to his dismay, Cristian Carabulea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costel Bejgăneanu during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Rapid's Costel Bejgăneanu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Matei Amuguroancei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mücahit Özbey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matei Amuguroancei to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Cristian Carabulea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Ignătoiu was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Mücahit Özbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matei Amuguroancei in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Carabulea in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Ignătoiu saved FC Rapid from getting behind. Costel Bejgăneanu struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Mücahit Özbey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rapid. The corner led to Bousori's Alexandru Gorunescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cristian Carabulea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mugurel Stroescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Ignătoiu having to interfere. Eric Golumbean kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Carabulea in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Ignătoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 88 played minutes Bousori got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Stroescu. Valentin Ignătoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Carabulea, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the game, Eric Golumbean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Rapid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bousori the free kick. Eric Golumbean kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. József Kőváry took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valentin Ignătoiu. FC Rapid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cristian Carabulea struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Valentin Ignătoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bousori. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
