After a defensive mix-up in Batuta's zone, Valentin Zdrobău stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Buta came out of the goal and Valentin Zdrobău tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Codrin Mihuleac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurențiu Buta having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Serbotesti FCM's Codrin Mihuleac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurențiu Buta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dorel Cazacu charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorel Cazacu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cornel Goga hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Serbotesti FCM's goal looked a bit too open when Valer Goicea came free, but Grigore Botea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Codrin Mihuleac to make the kick off. Sever Vişoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 59th minute, Codrin Mihuleac fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Grigore Botea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Octavian Ghițulescu went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Valentin Zdrobău in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Laurențiu Buta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tiberiu Enoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiberiu Enoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Batuta booed when Serbotesti FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Enoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Teodor Tonegaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batuta's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodor Tonegaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigore Botea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentin Zdrobău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Batuta booed when Serbotesti FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Goga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Zdrobău's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Buta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Laurențiu Buta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Mihuleac in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Batuta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Serbotesti FCM had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
