Bastelec FC's Sabin Armanca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Aaxiniei in the 3rd minute of play. Transilvania Fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Dan Chircu scored to the left of an out of position Horaţiu Gruia, making the score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the game, Eric Condrea recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Horaţiu Gruia. Eric Condrea showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 18th match minute, Bastelec FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Tărâţă to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Nicodim Guriță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabin Armanca was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 2-1 became the score in the 20th minute when Nicodim Guriță elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 24 minutes, Nicodim Guriță managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Transilvania Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Guriță was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabin Armanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Aaxiniei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game Nicodim Guriță who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bastelec FC's Sabin Armanca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Nicodim Guriță sped through Bastelec FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sabin Armanca. Sabin Armanca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Aaxiniei went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, Bastelec FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Aaxiniei came free, but Sabin Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Mercea hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Transilvania Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelian Pavelescu to maneuver through the defense. Horaţiu Gruia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Mercea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicodim Guriță was the one to do the kick off. Sabin Armanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicodim Guriță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Sabin Armanca managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Transilvania Fc's Eric Aaxiniei fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 70th minute Dan Mercea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Gruia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sabin Armanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Guriță, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Bastelec FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Guriță came free, but Sabin Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Dan Chircu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Transilvania Fc booed when Bastelec FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Chircu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Tărâţă kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Horaţiu Gruia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Tărâţă in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bastelec FC! Sabin Armanca went to the wrong direction when Oto Blažej was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Guriță in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Armanca saved Bastelec FC from getting behind. Horaţiu Gruia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Mercea in the 92nd minute of play. Bastelec FC's Liviu Tărâţă pulled a muscle in his leg after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 93 minutes, Oto Blažej mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Transilvania Fc and the Bastelec FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Transilvania Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oto Blažej to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th match minute, Transilvania Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelian Miclescu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Transilvania Fc's zone, Traian Malcoci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Gruia came out of the goal and Traian Malcoci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Transilvania Fc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Transilvania Fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
