The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lipia Afc's Mihai Costandin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Lipia Afc from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Lipia Afc's Mihai Costandin got control of the ball when Gavril Vătăşel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ionuț Achiriloaie kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Gavril Vătăşel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Gavril Vătăşel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mihai Costandin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sever Zoreanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Gârbovan in the 26th minute of the match. Lipia Afc's Mihai Costandin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Vătăşel in the 27th minute of play. In the 32ndth minute of the game Tudor Gârbovan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marinesti's Sever Zoreanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tudor Gârbovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Zoreanu having to interfere. Fabian Hăvârneanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sever Zoreanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihnea Bărboianu to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Tudor Gârbovan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sever Zoreanu. That made the score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lipia Afc's Fabian Hăvârneanu got a free kick in the 58th minute. Horaţiu Lițu struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Sever Zoreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lipia Afc. Sever Zoreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tudor Gârbovan in the 63rd minute of play. Gavril Vătăşel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Costandin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lipia Afc's Manole Avram got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute Tudor Gârbovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Zoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 77th minute of the match Fabian Hăvârneanu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabian Hăvârneanu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 78th minute, Fabian Hăvârneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihnea Bărboianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Costandin having to interfere. Mihnea Bărboianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mihai Costandin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lipia Afc's zone, Gavril Vătăşel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihai Costandin came out of the goal and Gavril Vătăşel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Edgar Buricea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lipia Afc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Buricea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Marinesti's Ionuț Achiriloaie got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ionuț Achiriloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihai Costandin having to interfere.
