The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aron Pietreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marinesti's Sever Zoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Caraiman in the 12th minute of play. Iustinian Jupân came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Marinesti's Gavril Vătăşel. But to his dismay, Gavril Vătăşel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 18 minutes, Teodor Baștină mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Starciu CF and the Marinesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Anton charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Anton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 21 minutes into the game, one of Starciu CF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Iustinian Pârcălab shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Mihnea Bărboianu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marinesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihnea Bărboianu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustinian Jupân breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Valer Caraiman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sever Zoreanu was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Mihnea Bărboianu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iustinian Jupân. Starciu CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihnea Bărboianu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 43rd minute, Robert Bot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marinesti booed when Starciu CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Pandrea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valer Caraiman made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ionuț Achiriloaie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Teodor Baștină shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sever Zoreanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Valer Caraiman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aron Pietreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Zoreanu having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Ionuț Achiriloaie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marinesti booed when Starciu CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Pietreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iustinian Jupân stood somewhat misplaced when Gavril Vătăşel came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 65 minute. After some careless play in the Starciu CF defense, Gavril Vătăşel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iustinian Jupân. The Starciu CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustinian Jupân should have stopped the shot. Robert Bot's late challenge caught a Marinesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Bot helped the player get up and apologised. Robert Bot kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Iustinian Jupân was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gavril Vătăşel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 77 minute of play. Iustinian Jupân showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Bărboianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Starciu CF's Iustinian Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Bărboianu in the 89th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Andrei Pandrea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Starciu CF and the Marinesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Starciu CF's Andrei Pandrea got a free kick in the 90th minute. Aron Pietreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Zoreanu having to interfere. The Starciu CF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marinesti's performance. The match ended with a win for Marinesti.
