After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Emanuel Ştiopul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Butuluc's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Ştiopul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Butuluc's Dacian Mendrea shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lucian Negreanu but with some difficulty. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Intresugag's Ovidiu Vuia got a free kick in the 61st minute. Sever Popovici's late challenge caught a Butuluc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sever Popovici helped the player get up and apologised. Sever Popovici hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Vuia during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
