Mihnea Iorgu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Sfârlea having to interfere. Manuel Sfârlea made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ernest Nicorici sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Matei Boldur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernest Nicorici got free with Manuel Sfârlea in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Sfârlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Cismaș, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ernest Nicorici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Sfârlea having to interfere. If Daniel Cismaș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Ciupa's Manuel Sfârlea got control of the ball when Ernest Nicorici tried to sneak it across the goal line.
Cătălin Orășan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Miheș in the 51st minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the game, Silviu Marinică was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Ciupa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arginesti the free kick.
