Șerban Spiru kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, FC Gabi Mutu's goalkeeper Codruț Joldea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dragoş Piţurcă. If Gigel Surugiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Gigel Surugiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Gabi Mutu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Edgar Şteţ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviu Marinică kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ciupa's zone, Gigel Surugiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Sfârlea came out of the goal and Gigel Surugiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Sfârlea didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Gabi Mutu's Edgar Şteţ shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. When Gigel Surugiu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FC Gabi Mutu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigel Surugiu couldn't finish the play. Pompiliu Trifu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pompiliu Trifu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Sfârlea having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Gigel Surugiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Manuel Sfârlea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Şteţ to make the kick off. Codruț Joldea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Miheș in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Manole Miheș notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Gabi Mutu's Codruț Joldea. Codruț Joldea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Șerban Spiru hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ionuț Stroia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ciupa's zone, Edgar Şteţ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Sfârlea came out of the goal and Edgar Şteţ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes, Denis Tirulescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ciupa and the FC Gabi Mutu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Gabi Mutu booed when FC Ciupa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Tirulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edgar Şteţ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, FC Ciupa's Manuel Sfârlea got control of the ball when Edgar Şteţ tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manole Miheș recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 played minutes, FC Ciupa's Ionuț Stroia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Codruț Joldea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Ciupa reached it. Edgar Şteţ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Gabi Mutu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
