Cristi Borogeanu scored 2-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niculae Gheorghe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Liviu Bogatu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 44 played minutes FC ARGES got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Cîrțu. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristi Borogeanu to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucian Giugiuc had several of the FC ARGES's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 52 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Constantin Junilă as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of FC ARGES booed when Zilistea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Grămescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristi Borogeanu in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Gheorghe saved Zilistea FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cristi Borogeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC ARGES's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Borogeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niculae Gheorghe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 played minutes Zilistea FC got a freekick which was hit by Ioan Geangu. In the 89th minute of the match Iustin Plopeanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niculae Gheorghe skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Zilistea FC defense, Iustin Plopeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niculae Gheorghe. The Zilistea FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Gheorghe should have stopped the shot.
