With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodor Mihele in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rareș Cristea saved Ficaresti from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Ghimiș in the 5th minute of play forced Mircea SC's goalkeeper Francisc Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mircea SC's Sergiu Crăciunescu got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Niculae Vârșan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 played minutes, Ficaresti's Cristi Boeru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisc Povară came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ficaresti reached it. Mihail Ivănescu's late challenge caught a Mircea SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihail Ivănescu helped the player get up and apologised. Mihail Ivănescu hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Isac Bârza sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ficaresti's Rareș Cristea didn't even have to move. When Mircea SC's Teodor Mihele in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 27th minute, Ilie Iancu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Cristea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Costel Zeciu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mircea SC's goalkeeper Francisc Povară, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dan Zogreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Ilie Iancu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Cristea having to interfere. Rareș Cristea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Mihele, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Ghimiș made a kick off. Edgar Ghimiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Povară having to interfere. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Ilie Iancu sped through Ficaresti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rareș Cristea. The audience was convinced that Ilie Iancu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rareș Cristea was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. George Mihăilă in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Francisc Povară was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Edgar Ghimiș capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgar Ghimiș really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.
