After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Irinel Vrejiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarsanesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Vrejiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viorel Caragea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Viorel Caragea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakkı Başaran in the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hakkı Başaran in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viorel Caragea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Irinel Vrejiu came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Sarsanesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Vrejiu couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hakkı Başaran sped through Perieti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viorel Caragea. In the 29th match minute, Perieti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Bălanescu to maneuver through the defense. The Sarsanesti fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Sarsanesti's Hakkı Başaran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

A well placed Hakkı Başaran short distance shot in the 52nd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Cristinel Horhoianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Cozma, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Viorel Caragea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hakkı Başaran's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Irinel Vrejiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Caragea having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hakkı Başaran got free with Viorel Caragea in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavian Mâinea came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Viorel Caragea could save by the left post. In the 75th match minute, Perieti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Savin to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Perieti's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Stelian came free, but Viorel Caragea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hakkı Başarans short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Viorel Caragea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 80 minutes, Ionel Orescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perieti and the Sarsanesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Perieti got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Orescu. If Robert Bălanescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hakkı Başaran's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Viorel Caragea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Robert Bălanescu struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Cristinel Horhoianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perieti. With a little luck, Perieti's Viorel Caragea got control of the ball when Hakkı Başaran tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Sarsanesti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Perieti throughout the match.
