Cosmin Drăgan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Marian Drogoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Iovanovici having to interfere. Marcel Iovanovici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Perșa in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Ionică Vochin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cosmin Drăgan. Ionică Vochin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Șerban Carabulea managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONDIAL BUCURESTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Șerban Carabulea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cosmin Drăgan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26thth minute of the game Ionică Vochin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarnavita CF's Cosmin Drăgan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Iovanovici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Drogoreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Perșa in the 31st minute of play forced MONDIAL BUCURESTI's goalkeeper Marcel Iovanovici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Vochin had several of the Tarnavita CF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed Cosmin Drăgan as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cosmin Drăgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Vochin in the 37th minute of play. Cornel Dorian scored 5-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosmin Drăgan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, MONDIAL BUCURESTI's Cosmin Drăgan threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ionică Vochin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornel Dorian in the 45th minute of play forced Tarnavita CF's goalkeeper Cosmin Drăgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Vochin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Drăgan having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Șerban Carabulea might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosmin Drăgan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Șerban Carabulea ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cornel Dorian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ionică Vochin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosmin Drăgan was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Ionică Vochin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Drăgan having to interfere. With 66 minutes on the clock, Aurelian Iacobescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When Cornel Dorian came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the MONDIAL BUCURESTI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornel Dorian couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes MONDIAL BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Orghidan. Marcel Iovanovici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Perșa in the 80th minute of the match. MONDIAL BUCURESTI's Cornel Dorian got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Șerban Carabulea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cosmin Drăgan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornel Dorian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Drăgan having to interfere. Cezar Blănaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, MONDIAL BUCURESTI's Marcel Iovanovici got control of the ball when Marian Drogoreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Cornel Dorian fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MONDIAL BUCURESTI's protests and gave Cornel Dorian a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 98 minutes, Alex Perșa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tarnavita CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Perșa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MONDIAL BUCURESTI fully deserved thier win.
