The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dumitru Encea in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilian Marica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emilian Marica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Niculiță in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Dumitru Encea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Obîrșeni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Encea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of F.C. Obîrșeni booed when Cerisor SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Hurdubețiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dan Niculiță managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Obîrșeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Niculiță was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Marica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Niculiță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, F.C. Obîrșeni's Dumitru Encea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilian Marica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. F.C. Alexandru Frumușanu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Manole Nițescu, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Alexandru Frumușanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerisor SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Obîrșeni the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cerisor SC's Alexandru Frumușanu got a free kick in the 39th minute. Emilian Marica didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Niculiță went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dumitru Encea was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Cerisor SC got a freekick which was hit by Stelian Constantiniu. In the 53rd minute Manole Nițescu saw that he had a good position to shoot and he shot a long ball on target, but the ball went just outside the left post. In the 63rd play minute Dan Niculiță came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emilian Marica. 0-4. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Obîrșeni's goalkeeper Ştefan Sticlaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cerisor SC's zone, Dan Niculiță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilian Marica came out of the goal and Dan Niculiță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute Dumitru Encea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Marica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C. Obîrșeni's Ştefan Sticlaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Hurdubețiu in the 79th minute of play. Emilian Marica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Encea in the 82nd minute of play. Emilian Marica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Encea, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Dumitru Encea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Marica having to interfere. Dumitru Encea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Cornel Berceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerisor SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Obîrșeni the free kick. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cerisor SC! The referee gave F.C. Obîrșeni a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Manole Nițescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cerisor SC's Emilian Marica. 0-5. The Cerisor SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C. Obîrșeni were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
