Călin Aronescu took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horia Buta. Horia Buta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Horia Poplăcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vintilă Corbeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vintilă Corbeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 24th match minute, Greabanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Călin to maneuver through the defense. When Cristinel Blidaru fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC MONOLIT BRAILA's protests and gave Cristinel Blidaru a yellow card for diving instead. Cristinel Blidaru hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Călin Aronescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greabanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Călin Aronescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horia Poplăcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vintilă Corbeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Dridu in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Olimpiu Dridu made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Greabanu's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Dridu came free, but Vintilă Corbeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Horia Buta managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Greabanu's Călin Aronescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Horia Buta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Călin Aronescu in the 61st minute. Horia Buta didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Filip Teleagă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Buta having to interfere. Olimpiu Dridu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Greabanu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! 85 minutes into the match, Greabanu's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Poplăcan came free, but Vintilă Corbeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Greabanu's Vintilă Corbeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Poplăcan in the 93rd minute of play. The FC MONOLIT BRAILA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Greabanu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
