The referee ignored Sulpusiu CSS's protests and gave Vlad Ciupe a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Adam Lozovan from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Radu Hirean's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cornel Bota struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Radu Hirean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.S. Real Madrid. A sloppy throw-in by Avram Balotă in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by F.C.S. Real Madrid's Teodor Nițulescu. Micael Strengø struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Radu Hirean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.S. Real Madrid. In the 36th minute Cornel Baciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Uncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinu Uncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Jităreanu in the 40th minute of the match. Dinu Uncu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Arseanu in the 41st minute of play. Dinu Uncu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Negrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Mircea Jităreanu scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dinu Uncu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Lucian Arseanu made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Avram Balotă in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by F.C.S. Real Madrid's Teodor Nițulescu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basarab Corbeanu in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Hirean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cornel Bota kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Dinu Uncu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Negrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Basarab Corbeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Sulpusiu CSS got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Chilian. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Arseanu in the 82nd minute of play forced F.C.S. Dinu Uncu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pavel Dragoș. Dinu Uncu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 97th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. The Sulpusiu CSS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
