Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gruni's Nae Mohora started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marius Vâtcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silviu Varga in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rareș Ciutacu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Adrian Caloian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Dinculescu having to interfere. Bancila's Marius Vâtcu got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mircea Mușetescu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. With 25 minutes on the clock, Mircea Mușetescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 25th minute, one of Bancila:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bancila. After 32 minutes, Silviu Varga made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gruni's Rareș Ciutacu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bancila's Mihnea Dinculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Mohora in the 36th minute of play. Mihnea Dinculescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nae Mohora in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Nae Mohora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gruni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Silviu Varga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Silviu Varga made the kick off in the second half. After 61 played minutes Gruni got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Visarion. In the 62nd minute of the match Ferdinand Ghișerel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rareș Ciutacu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 65th minute Nae Mohora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Dinculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nae Mohora struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Mihnea Dinculescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gruni. In the 68th minute, Dorin Visarion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silviu Varga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rareș Ciutacu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gruni's Radu Dobrica got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Rareș Ciutacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Ghișerel in the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Silviu Varga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bancila's supporters rose to their feet, but Silviu Varga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rareș Ciutacu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Laurențiu Călinescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Silviu Varga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rareș Ciutacu. Gruni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silviu Varga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Gruni's zone, Silviu Varga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rareș Ciutacu came out of the goal and Silviu Varga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Gruni's Adrian Caloian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihnea Dinculescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bancila's Mihnea Dinculescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Bancila from getting a goal against them. Bancila were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gruni for a fine match.
