After 10 minutes of play, Tabacesti's Isac Cerghizan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornel Codreanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorel Mocanu struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cornel Codreanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabacesti. In the 16th minute, Iustin Ceaușescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isac Cerghizan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cornel Codreanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isac Cerghizan might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornel Codreanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isac Cerghizan ran back to his position shaking his head. Cosereni's Cornel Codreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Galușcă in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 played minutes Cosereni got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Bărcăuan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Galușcă in the 27th minute of play forced Cosereni's goalkeeper Cornel Codreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Denis Vasilache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosereni's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Vasilache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorel Dobrea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cornel Codreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Galușcă in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Ivan Bărcăuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosereni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabacesti the free kick. A collision led to Cosereni getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ivan Bărcăuan hit a great ball. Cornel Codreanu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ernest Bădiță. After 63 played minutes Cosereni got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Maftei. Isac Cerghizans short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Cornel Codreanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 73 minutes into the match, Dorel Dobrea notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tabacesti's Alexandru Văcaru. Alexandru Văcaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute, Ionel Galușcă fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Dorel Dobrea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Dobrea in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandru Văcaru saved Tabacesti from getting behind. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
