Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stavaru's goalkeeper Sandu Braia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Venus's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sergiu Hidiș 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 21st minute Mihai Firoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandu Braia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Dumitru Baltian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernest Gâgea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Sandu Braia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihai Firoiu in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandu Braia saved Stavaru from getting behind. Stavaru's Sandu Braia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Firoiu in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Stavaru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Baltian to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Venus's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Hidiș came free, but Basarab Vâlcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Venus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabin Tufescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match Emanuel Manole sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basarab Vâlcu skillfully saved the ball. Venus's Basarab Vâlcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Hidiș in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gică Bărnuțiu during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergiu Hidiș to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Martin Slavici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Codruț Urseanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gică Bărnuțiu got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venus fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Stavaru a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marian Teaşcă, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Venus's Basarab Vâlcu. 2-0. Mihai Firoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sandu Braia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Venus's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Hidiș came free, but Basarab Vâlcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Panait Ecobici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Stavaru fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Stavaru's Sergiu Hidiș looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Sergiu Hidiș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basarab Vâlcu was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Sergiu Hidiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Basarab Vâlcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Panait Ecobici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Rogozea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basarab Vâlcu having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Stavaru players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
