If Laurențiu Zdrenghea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Sorin Cerghizan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pantelimon's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Cerghizan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tudor Onuț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tudor Onuț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Cerghizan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hapai AFC's zone, Laurențiu Zdrenghea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Onuț came out of the goal and Laurențiu Zdrenghea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pantelimon's Iacob Coidum got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Hapai AFC's Felix Caramarin in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tudor Onuț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pantelimon's zone, Felix Caramarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dinu Ţăranu came out of the goal and Felix Caramarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmin Fulga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Ţăranu having to interfere. Laurențiu Zdrenghea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Onuț having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pantelimon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valer Stoica in the 55th minute. Valer Stoica made a great header on Pantelimon's corner, it was just that Hapai AFC's Tudor Onuț managed to reach the ball for a save. Cosmin Fulga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurențiu Zdrenghea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tudor Onuț read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Sorin Cerghizan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hapai AFC's Tudor Onuț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tudor Onuț stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sorin Cerghizan's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Laurențiu Zdrenghea might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tudor Onuț. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurențiu Zdrenghea ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Caramarin in the 84th minute of play forced Pantelimon's goalkeeper Dinu Ţăranu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Nișu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tudor Onuț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Sorin Cerghizan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Onuț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Hapai AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Cerghizan came free, but Tudor Onuț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Onuț made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Laurențiu Zdrenghea sent off a good shot on target. Tudor Onuț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurențiu Zdrenghea in the 97th minute.
