Bogdan Postelnicescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mircea Bârsan having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Postelnicescu in the 11th minute of play forced Darmonesti's goalkeeper Mircea Bârsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Berceanu in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristinel Pânzariu saved Neacsa from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bogdan Postelnicescu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mircea Bârsan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aron Ciutacu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Mircea Bârsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Aron Ciutacu in the 27thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Mircea Bârsan had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Aron Ciutacu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Darmonesti's Mihăiţă Geamănu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Mircea Bârsan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aron Ciutacu got free with Mircea Bârsan in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mircea Bârsan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Postelnicescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Mihăiţă Geamănu hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54thth minute of the game Bogdan Postelnicescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darmonesti's Mircea Bârsan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute, Bogdan Postelnicescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bogdan Postelnicescu struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Mircea Bârsan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neacsa. Bogdan Postelnicescu scored 1-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mircea Bârsan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Neacsa booed when Darmonesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Stolniciu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
